UChicago Big Ideas Generator	"Big Ideas Generator (BIG) supports new bold, ambitious ideas that can change the way we think about a subject." Seed Grants for up to $15k, Vision Grants for up to $100k	April 15, 2015 Does not need to go through URA, but please contact Courtney Guerra ASAP if you intend to apply. Proposals must align with one of BIG's focus areas (more on website). Above deadline is for Seed Grant proposals and Vision Grant pre-proposals.
Neubauer Family Collegium for Culture and Society	Grants for collaborative faculty research projects beginning in the 2017–18 academic year	October 25, 2016 Proposals must be submitted online no later than 5pm on the deadline; applications must include a project title, the name(s)/CV(s) of the faculty sponsor(s), a ~250 word abstract, a project narrative, and a budget.
Franke Institute Event/Programming Funding	Funds from the Franke Institute to support events, conferences, and other programming, with preference given to interdisciplinary projects	October 28, 2016 Does not need to go through URA. Early submission to the Franke for feedback is recommended.
France Chicago Center Faculty Grants	FCC Funding Opportunities for Faculty in the Humanities to Support France-Related Projects (up to $5k locally; up to $1,500 in Paris)	April 9, 2018 Requests up to $500 are accepted anytime, and requests up to $1,500 are accepted quarterly. The annual deadline for larger requests (up to $5k) is in April.
NEH Digital Humanities Advancement Grants	~$200k to support DH projects. Ideally proposal development should be underway by mid-November 2018	January 15, 2019 To maximize chances of success, submit a draft proposal to NEH program officers 6 weeks before deadline (by Dec. 4, 2018)
